April 23 Update: Thank you so much to both our prize donors and those supporters who contributed monetarily to our first ever fundraiser. After Paypal took their cut we managed to raise $108.78. That’s fantastic! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Also, congratulations go out to Deirdre Murphy who won our bonus prize draw after tweeting about our fundraiser. Thank you Deirdre and everyone who helped spread the word. You’re all fantastic.

Most of the people who work on Niteblade do it for the love. Their only payment is the satisfaction they get from contributing to a high quality publication, however, labour aside there are some actual costs associated with each issue. We have to pay our authors, our artist and all the miscellaneous costs associated with running a website. And advertising, did I mention advertising? We’d love to be able to have an advertising budget. So far that hasn’t been possible, but it’s on our wishlist.

This fundraiser will be the biggest single factor when it comes to determining our budget for next year. That means it directly effects how many stories and poems we can include in each issue and potentially how many issues we put out. Every dollar makes a difference. Every one.

Thank you so much! The fundraiser is now completed. Give me a couple days to finalize the list of donors and count up all the donations and I’ll share the results here. I will announce the winner of the draw (see below) at that time too.

Each time you linked to this fundraiser page or shared the word will put your name in the draw. There is no limit, but please, don’t spam your friends so much they hate you (and us LOL). The Fundraiser runs from the 16th to the 20th, but we’ll start collecting names for this draw as of April 13th up until the 20th
