Donors
Niteblade would like to thank the following people for their generous donations that are making this fundraiser possible:
K.V. Taylor is an avid reader and writer of urban fantasy and dark speculative fiction, even though the only degree she holds is in the history of art. (Or, possibly, because the only degree she holds is in the history of art.) Originally from the Appalachian foothills of West Virginia, she currently lives in the D.C. Metro Area with her husband and mutant cat. Her short fiction can be found at kvtaylor.com, and her first novel, Scripped, was published by Belfire Press in late 2011. She edits for Morrigan Books and collects The Red Penny Papers in her dining room.
Marge Simon‘s works appear in publications such as Strange Horizons, Niteblade, DailySF Magazine, Pedestal, Dreams & Nightmares. She edits a column for the HWA Newsletter, “Blood & Spades: Poets of the Dark Side,” and serves on the board of trustees. She won the Strange Horizons Readers Choice Award, 2010. In addition to her poetry, she has published two prose collections: Christina’s World, Sam’s Dot Publications, 2008 and Like Birds in the Rain, Sam’s Dot, 2007. She won the Bram Stoker for Superior Work in Poetry with Charlie Jacob, Vectors: A Week in the Death of a Planet, Dark Regions Press, 2008. New poetry collections 2011: Unearthly Delights (self illustrated in color), Sam’s Dot Publications, The Mad Hattery (art by Sandy DeLuca), Electrikmilkbath Press. Mallory N. Hobson has had work published in The Runepebble, Hex Magazine, Champagne Shivers and other places. A multiple-award-winning artist, she is currently at work on a few series of grim creations. Melty Robot and WarNoMore are part of an altered art series dealing with the transformation of scraps that society doesn’t even see. For more information: sales@ravenshallaarts.com
Usually known, in certain shadowy circles, for her dark writing, (in places such as It Lives (RuneWright), History is Dead (Permuted Press), Loving The Undead (From The Asylum),You Don’t Know What You’ve Got–Tales of Loss and Dispossession (Gryphonwood), Return of the Raven (Horror Bound), Dead Worlds: Undead Stories (LivingDead Press), Danse Macabre, Sein und Werden, and Nite Blade) Juleigh Howard-Hobson has found that crocheting can be, if done in the proper damp spirit, a pleasantly vile way to pass time. A particularly disturbing pair of her two headed crocheted squeaky dogs has been offered up to Nite Blade. Hurry, they might eat each other if someone doesn’t adopt them soon. Dave Hobson’s interests lie in the dual realms of art and practical applications. His work as a blacksmith—as well as a Heathen artist—can be seen in the Ritual Hammers and Oath rings he was commissioned to create for the Hammer of Thor Kindred in Northern California, in his runic forged art (one such piece was featured in the Heathen Art Show, Portland, 2006) and in his Thor’s Hammer necklaces. Anna Sykora has been an attorney in New York and teacher of English in Germany, where she resides with her patient husband and three enormous cats. Writing poems and tales for the small press is her joy, and *Niteblade* one of her favorite pubs.

Pete’s fiction has appeared in 6 Tales, Orson Scott Card’s Intergalactic Medicine Show and (soon) Niteblade. His non-fiction has appeared in Natural Parenting, CEO Online and Kindred Magazine.
Pete’s a member of the Codex Writers Group, the Australian Horror Writers Association and the Australian Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association. He does not enjoy pina colada or taking walks in the rain. He does enjoy board games and FIFA 11 on xBox, and reading everything he can get his hands on.
Fred Warren has written more than twenty short stories published in a variety of print and online magazines, including Niteblade, and a novel, The Muse, which was a finalist for the 2010 American Christian Fiction Writers award for book of the year in the speculative genre. A collection of his short stories, Odd Little Miracles, was published in July 2011, and The Seer, a sequel to The Muse, debuted in November 2011. He loves science fiction and fantasy, but writes the occasional bit of horror or poetry, just to keep things interesting. He’s a weekly columnist at Speculative Faith, an online journal for readers and authors exploring Christian visionary fiction: novels, short stories, films and more. He blogs about his writing experiences and offers book and media reviews at his website, frederation.wordpress.com.
Joshua David Bellin publishes fiction under both his birth name and his pen name, J. David Bell. In addition to an appearance in Niteblade, he has published speculative fiction in such journals as A cappella Zoo, Cover of Darkness, Bellow Literary Journal, and Stories in the Ether. As of this writing, he is trying to secure an agent for a Young Adult fantasy novel, Survival Colony Nine.
Nicki Vardon is a hard-core scientist, soft-hearted metalhead, seasoned night owl and part-time catsitter. When not writing her thesis or fiction projects, she is involved with excavated skeletons and picking bones apart. She can be woken up for—or by—metal concerts and tea with honey, but always at one’s own risk. Her stories can soon be read in Fear & Trembling, The Red Penny Papers and Niteblade.

Alexandra Seidel is a Rhysling nominated poet, writer, and editor. She has a powerful affection for the unreal and strange, the weird, the
wicked, and naturally, the beautiful. She loves speculative writing because all these things come together there with the power to create
universes.
Thank you all for your support. You’re awesome!
